Enoch Chng

Enoch is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at the Singapore Management University, where he is also the Director of the Programs in Financial Services (Processes, Operations & Technology). Prior to joining academia, Enoch's illustrious career includes roles at leading banks in Singapore as well as at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

At the MAS, he was Executive Director in charge of the department providing financial and technology risk expertise for MAS' supervisory and regulatory functions, as well as assessment of institution-specific and system-wide risks. Enoch represented the MAS in the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems (CPSS.) He also served as the Vice Chairman on EMEAP (the Executives' Meeting of East Asia-Pacific Central Banks) Payment Systems Committee from 1998 to 2001. Enoch was deeply involved in the MAS review of the Payment Systems Oversight Bill, the various MAS risk management guidelines issued during the period of 1998 to 2005 and MEPS+ Implementation.

Enoch maintains a special interest in risk and technology issues and served as a member of Singapore's National Trust Council for 3 two-year terms.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton and a Master's degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT.
